Hello friends, welcome back to our Blogs section of IndusViva, where I promise to tell you something new every time you visit here.
Today, let’s talk about Coffee, world’s most-loved beverage.
Coffee, grown worldwide, traces its heritage back to centuries of the ancient coffee forests on the Ethiopian plateau. There, legend says, the goat herder Kaldi first discovered the potential of those amazing beans.
The story goes like this, Kaldi discovered coffee when he noticed that after eating berries from a certain tree, his goats became so energetic that they did not want to sleep at night.
Kaldi reported his findings to the abbot of the local monastery, who made a drink with the berries and found that it kept him alert through the long hours of evening prayer. The abbot shared his discovery with the other monks at the monastery and knowledge of the energizing berries began to spread.
As word moved east and coffee reached the Arabian Peninsula, the journey of the beans started across the globe.
Coffee just doesn’t help you to feel fresh, it has a lot of other health benefits, which I will be sharing with you today.
So let’s start talking about Coffee.
Coffee by its nature comes with a pack of antioxidants which are known to have several positive effects on your health. Be it boosting your energy levels, lowering the risk of enhanced blood sugars, supporting brain health, supporting weight management or lowering the risk of depression.
Coffee does it all. All said and done, a cup of unfiltered coffee can still be villain in someone’s life. Coffee still has potential risks, mostly due to its high caffeine content. For example, it can temporarily raise blood pressure. Women who are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or breastfeeding need to be cautious about caffeine consumption. High intake of boiled, unfiltered coffee has been associated with mild increase in cholesterol levels. Due to side effects of coffee like heartburn, nervousness or insomnia, your friends and family might have advised you on cutting back, but not anymore.
IndusViva has come out with a unique beverage called iCoffee, crafted with care for Coffee lovers. This iCoffee is not only devoid of all the side effects mentioned above but has been power packed with herbal ingredients to boost up your health.
It’s enriched with ingredients like Salacia (Saptaranga) and Mucuna (Kapikacchu).
Salacia, a well-known ingredient from the treasures of Ayurveda, is an ingredient which helps in managing the blood sugar levels. The roots of Salacia are responsible for all the positive effects of this herb.
Salacia herb is native to India and grows in the wild. It is helpful not only in diabetes but also conditions like asthma, joint pain, weight loss, and others.
It is the phytochemical constituents called Phytotannins which are present in this root that have a well-documented evidence mentioned in ancient texts of Ayurveda.
One of the important constituents, Salacinol, which is of prime importance for all its positive effects, is present in our iCoffee.
iCoffee also comprises of one more wonder herb Mucuna, which is again derived from Ayurveda. This Mucuna is known to help strengthen nervous system and supports motor skills and co-ordination.
It is the seeds of this plant which hold the required phyto-constituents responsible for its possible effects.
