Nutrivigilance
Nutrivigilance (NV) refers to the monitoring and surveillance of the safety and efficacy of nutrients, dietary supplements, and other food-related supplements. The aims of NV are to enhance consumer care and consumer safety in relation to the use of nutraceuticals and to support public health programmes by providing reliable, balanced information for the effective assessment of the risk-benefit profile of supplements. In summary, pharmacovigilance is the systematic monitoring and management of the safety of supplements to ensure their safe and effective use.
Department of Pharmacovigilance of Indus Viva Limited performs all Pharmacovigilance related activities of Indus Viva Limited, Bangalore, India. The pharmacovigilance system of Indus Viva was set up in year 2025. A group of pharmacists and pharmacologists are presently working in this department. Department of Pharmacovigilance maintains separate PV QMS (Pharmacovigilance Quality Management System) to carry out all PV functions including processing ICSRs, monitoring local literature, providing PV awareness training to all employees, communicating & reporting to local Regulatory Authority as well as our Business Partners.
What to Report
All Serious & Non-serious Adverse Event (AE) or Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) related to the use of Indus Viva Supplements (manufactured and/or distributed) should be reported to the Department of Pharmacovigilance.
